Hollywood Development proposal by Millennium Partners

Christopher Hawthorne, LA Times Architectural Critic, comments about a proposed development around the historic landmark Capitol Records building.

The historic tower, designed by the the Architectural firm - Welton Becket, is now the centerpiece of a proposed development to create an urban landscape and mixed use architectural development.  Proposed by the development firm, Millennium Partners, New York and Argent Ventures, New York.

This proposed Billion dollar investment will represent a significant development in Los Angeles, with the construction of a 24 acre park and high-rise towers.  The key of this plan will be to integrate the ageing historical Hollywood Boulevard landmark structures, such as the Capitol Records building, Grauman's Chinese & Egyptian Theaters, and other neighborhood buildings.

Christoper critiques the impact on the Hollywood community and the historical status of the neighborhood landmarks.
